You hate her now because she can’t seem to get it all together. She’s busy and tired but can’t finish the things she so eagerly started. She would cry inside defining herself as a failure and not that she has simply failed.
It hurts to look in her tired eyes caused by sleepless nights of some drama she just made up. She can’t concentrate and gets too emotional when she knows life is simply unfair. How many times have you told her that?
You hate that she craves for sugar after a stressful day and that she can’t control the need to shop when she doesn’t have enough.
Everytime you look for her, she’s either on the opposite poles struggling to find the balance in between. She tries but she can’t keep up.
You can’t stand how on so many days she let herself go and on too many occasions she manages to cover up her unglamorous life. She can be so happy if she needs other people to see. She just can’t convince you to be.
You felt the pain when you saw her tears because she doesn’t know what else to do or where else to go. You keep asking yourself if you can still do it for her. After all, she lied to you so many times and it gets tiring to trust her again.
Dear, please. Take another look.
You love her. That’s the reason why you’re still here.
You love her because she thinks of others more than herself and how hard she tries to still keep it together. I hope you’d realize that you love her because despite so many unfinished business, she is fighting to still start again.
I hope you’ll see that behind the unnecessary pain she is causing herself, lies a kind heart- one that still trusts , one that is always willing to love again.
Please be with her in her most trying times and have fun with her in the smallest of victories. She may not find the perfect balance now but you must admire how she juggles in between.
She’s hard to please sometimes and expect that she can also be indifferent. Please understand that she’s just trying to heal from the last time she opened her heart to the wrong people. It gets tiring I know but have faith that it gets easier with time.
You will find her trying to please so many people and she may even annoyingly apologize every chance she gets. Please be patient with her. There are just days when she just can’t depend on herself. She’d appreciate it if you will remind her that the best comparison is not with others but with her yesterdays.
Above all, please know that you can trust her still.
The girl in the mirror needs you to hold tight and lead her along. In your journey, I hope that you will have the courage to speak when it’s needed and to make her understand that she is enough, that she is worthy and that she is loved.
She will forget it for sure. But everytime you look at her, please make her feel that she is enough, she is worthy…
she is loved.
